Put my little 2hp Honda outboard on the gate to run it up today.
As a consequence of it being higher than usual I noticed there is a hole in the lower engine shroud which gives access to a screw.
Looks like it's screwed into the bottom of the float chamber on the carb. it's vertical with the head of the screw pointing down.
Tested it with my screwdriver , it's shut but only very lightly nipped up (maybe 5nM ?)
I assume it's a float chamber drain or possibly holds a jet in etc.
Can anybody expand on this please ?
Can't find any real refernce to it in any of the manuals i have and it is not I think something you service.
Motor runs fine by the way so there is no need to mess with it.
I always run the carb dry anyway after finishing using it
TIA
