Hi
I have a Merry Fisher 645 with a Honda BF115 (2011) manufacturer spec for motor quotes 5000 to 6000rpm. Available literature suggests this set up can achieve 28knts. Motor fully honda serviced with 60 hrs.
WOT is 4900 and 22knts. A knowledgable fiend of mine thinks that the prop pitch is wrong and I should try a couple of pitch changes.
Does anyone have the same boat/motor combo and is getting higher revs/knots? If so could you let me know which prop you are using.
Any other suggestions/thoughts/comments very welcome. I am going to see if I can determine the current prop pitch today.
