Honda 2HP outboard

I've just bought a 3 year old one of these. Nice peice of kit. I was thinking though, it must be the same engine as say the 2.5 or the 3 HP. Surely they wouldn't go to the trouble to design different cylinders etc?

So how do I mod it to uprate it? Thanks chaps!

I would think the ECU will be different, carb/jets and max RPM

You sure know how to hit a guy where it hurts! I bought a Tohatsu 3.5HP brand new - and what a great little engine it was. I kept it stored in a steel locker which had a set-in-concrete base. Double locked...it didn't stop thieves breaking the hinges off and stealing the engine


This Honda is its replacement - just a bit low on GG's
