Had a lot of fun making myself a copy of a Wasi anchor, you know, those with the loop behind the shank. It came out at about 20,25kg and it looks great.
Tried it on the beach and was amazed at how easily it would dig into the sand.I'll put it the real test as soon as it comes back from galvanizing.I'll keep you lot informed .Anchor tests can be so confusing that I decided to make one instead of buying based on them and then find out it's rubbish. This way it was so cheap it doesn't matter if it's a flop.

Pm me your E-Mail and I'll send you a full set of photos and measurements. This design is supposedly very good in weed but I'll have to try it first. It'll be at least a week and a half before it's back from the galvanizers.

I am impressed !
Could you include me in the mail list. I presume you had it professionally welded ? A special steel ?
can you post me via my website, please.
Thanks.

I used 15mm steel plate and welded it myself.I considered Tig welding the whole thing but then went for Mig.I've been welding for a few years now and never had anything break so I think I can trust the anchor. It took quit a lot of welding time so having it done professionally might prove expensive.
I'll send you the pictures and specs when I get the anchor back.
