just to let you know that Valkyrie 2 (ck47) is on her way home, she has been in Spain for 18 years and has had all sorts of adventures but is ready to be back where she belongs. I would be interested to know the whereabouts of Theme a 26' smack yacht which we left behing when we went travelling

She was at your old yard in 1997 looking very sorry for herself. Some one had fitted a few iron floors. Needed a full rbuild at that time. I did see her advertised for sale around 2000. I think advertised in Classic Boat magazine.

Theme was at a little boatyard on Eel Pie Island a few years ago needing massive work to the centreline frames and planking.
I think she was sold as a project and may have gone to St Osyth but not sure

Don't see why Pete (Transcur) wd have had difficulty connecting you with the yard, He probably has your book (Valkyrie The Restoration of a Wooden Boat, Batsford 1983) - as do I - my copy was purchased from the effects of the late lamented Ian Wright at his wake, and ever since I've been wondering what had become of Valkyrie.
