Not to keen on sailing off the lancs coast, been on too many bumpy (on the putty!) trips and tidal windows a tad narrow.
Holyhead however looks good too me - 24 hours access etc.
Can't afford the marina but the Sailing club prices are ok
Anybody here able to offer advice on Holyhead Sailing club?
Will be nipping over this coming Sunday too.
Ta.

Same for me but have put mine onto a swinging mooring at abersoch. just the cost of the mooring 24h access and good cruising grounds.
only downside is getting out to the mooring in my rubber duck

There's a waiting list for HSC moorings. Not sure what the current waiting period is but you do need to be a member to go on it. HSC has a fairly active small boat racing scene. Not too much going on for cruisers although with easy access to some excellent sailing areas most people just get on with it. Good bar and restaurant in the sailing club and that's why we joined.

Your insurers happy?
And - can I spot your boat on Google Earth? - there are quite a few where sea appears to shelve

Great club and very friendly............ dont think you will be disappointed with it. They have a web site with lots of info!

I'm in the marina but always use the club.

Call in but don't come empty handed /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
