Just stumbled across the Aquascan website and found this crazy thing :-

F11_4.jpg

Specs :-

Overall Length 11' 7"
Overall Beam 6'3
Engine (HP) 140
Engine Manufacturer Yamaha
Engine Specs 4 Stroke
Weight dry 850lbs
Seats 5
Cost $26,900

I have no idea how fast this thing would be, but a 140HP four-stroke jet-rib just 3.5m long would be lively to say the least. I've mailed them for more info.

I imagine it's going to be similar to a jet ski with similar power. 50-55mph I would guess.

Re: Gutless!

it's a 340. i think the latest model is a 350, not sure. The novamarine website is a bit coy about engines http://www.novamarinegroup.com/inglese/modelli/003_jet_tender/001.html
but inside it says Mercury 175hp V6, and it's a 2-stroke.

I assume made for USA (esp calif) emission laws. I remember aswade saying there are virtually no jetribs available in calif becos they're 2 strokes hence banned. This seems to be the response.

Looks fab. They seem to have got the engine in the middle under the console which is the best place for it. The novamarines have the engine at the back under your bum, which tends to make the seat high so you sit on them rather than in them.

Definitely order this imho!
