With two weeks holiday starting Monday it was to have been one week up river and one down. Currently on yellows on our bit of the river, and another shed load of rain yesterday/last night, the up river bit looks decidedly iffy. Most of week one will now be in a Cotswold cottage on the top of a hill very close to a good pub :D

Week two still plan a down river trip, hopefully in company as there will just be me and SWMBO aboard as the crew hasn't materialised. Fingers crossed for reasonable weather.

We also have two weeks off from Monday. We planned a slow Oxford and back. Now looking for something else to do the first week and hoping the second may give us some time on the river. That's if the boat is back in the water by then. :(

The weather is what you make of it.

We have just come back from a great week away (see wells topic). Had we listened to the forecasts which were shockingly bad we would have missed a great holiday and some unexpected good weather.

Ah, you're back - you were seriously missed in Another Place; talk of sending out a search party...

We chose sunny brighton with no kids. Having a great time but haven't found the sun part yet. :) May still get next week on the Thames if we are lucky. :D

Cruising in the rain I can tollerate. It's the getting out part at locks I can't abide .

Hence three weeks on the Broads for me in August. I might even stay ;).
