According to Countryfile on BBC this evening, the new man made surf reef off Boscombe near Bournemouth is proving also to be a haven for marine life. Amongst the many species seen taking up residence included pipe fish and..... seahorses. So are these the Studland ones on a vacation (it is a few miles away) or are these another lot?

Also on Countryfile, they were showing the fossilised forest off Lulworth and said these were originally tropical trees a few thousand years or more back. So, tropical trees huh? Must have been hot then. Barney Rubble and Fred Flintstone sure must have released a lot of CO2 from their 4x4s back then!

How come the BBC never question these inconsistencies?

Not really inconsistent - the earth's tilt and thus the equator has varied in the past, and you mustn't forget about Continental Drift - Spain and Italy are really part of Africa, geologically speaking.

Well I was speaking with tongue in cheek on the tropical tree bit, although there is still the fact that in Roman times there were vineyards all over the country and their chariots didn't run on petrol pumping CO2 into the atmosphere!

"Their chariots didn't run on petrol pumping CO2"

A horse is an animal that kicks at both ends, bites at the front and farts at the back.

Methane, a far more potent greenhouse gas!

Seahorse nips back to Studland.

"Come on guys, I've found a much nicer gaff off Bournemouth - there's no nosey frigging diver sneaking around fondling our preggy females and tagging our tails. Only thing missing is the anchors stirring up extra food for us."
