Holes on Swim Platform

I put some holes on the Swim Platform to put screws through to the nut on the bottom of the Swim Platform.
Should I put any sealant or gasket in between so water would not come up from the bottom through these holes? What can I put?

I'd use white Sikaflex from your chandlers. You can buy quite small tubes of the stuff. Not worth buying the larger more economic tubes because the shelf life is quite short once opened.
