Holding tenders firmly on davits

I have just seen a system for holding an inflatable tender secure on the davits. Onto the tender is bonded what appears to be a purpose-made rubber block with a large (female) keyway across it. Onto the davit is mounted a similar block with the mating (male) contour of the keyway. Two male and two females are used, one on each davit, but only on the side nearest the yacht, the tender just pulls up snugly to the end of the davit. Apparently this holds the tender firm and prevents any lateral movement even during extreme rolls. I saw this mounted on a 3.4m RIB with a 15hp + outboard in place and the owner is delighted but he doesn't know where the blocks came from.

Can anyone help, please? His was an Avon.

Many thanks

Simpson Interlock Blocks...

The ones you've seen sound like Simpson Interlock Blocks, which look like this...
