Holding Tank Problem

I am having great difficulty in getting the holding tank to empty. There are no pumps or other machanics involved other than gravity.

No discharge with the holding tank set to evacuate and the seacock open. I have discovered that if I undo the discharge elbow that holds the joker or choker? valve, all flows freely and the holding tank empties.

Any ideas?

I presume you are talking about the joker valve between the toilet and the tank so the fact that the tank empties with that open means your problem is with the ingress of air into the tank. You need to check that the breather pipe is clear. The most likely problem is that you have allowed the tank to get too full, forcing a wad of nasty solids up into the breather pipe. The best way to make sure the problem doesn't recur is to remove the pipe and flush it through. Air pressure from the other end of the pipe through the skin fitting would push out the blockage but might not clear it completely.
