Hi all,

I am trying to help a friend to fit a holding tank in a 2001 Bavaria 330 Sport - not as easy as it sounds.

Under the bed in to bow, there is plenty of room to fit a +60L holding tank, but finding a way for the hoses towards the loo is really hard. Today, the 20L holdingtank is placed in one of the galley cabinets and this solution is not very good - hence this initiative.

Does anyone here have a similar boat that can guide us in our efforts?

Regards,
Christian

I owned a 2001 330 sport.
The standard holding tank location is behind the heads, between the hull and the toilet mouldings directly behind the toilet
Unit. It's a small holding tank, with Y valve to either discharge straight through or to hold with a deck pump out directly
above

Getting under the bed with a decent sized pipe is going to be tricky as the stepped floor has very little void beneath it.
You could go the other way and sure it in the cupboard of the galley nearest the heads, closing up that cupboard. I never had an issue with the standard tank - maybe I dont go potty as much as others

Hi - thanks for quick reply.

I believe this specific boat didn't have a factory fitted tank behind the head - as I understand it there should be an inspection hatch if that was the case. Instead, someone has fitted a small (20L) in the cupboard in the galley. This is a problem for my friend who travles with wife and two teenage daughters :)

It seems possible to place a decent sized tank in the engine compartment, but the length of the hoses would be looong.
