Has any one installed a holding tank on a Vancouver 28 - 3 berth (heads in the forpeak)? What sort fo tank, and where is it located?
We are thinking of replacing our Jabsco for a Lavac at the same time, so any tips would be welcome.

Replacing the Jabsco with ANY other toilet is a good move...the Lavac is an excellent choice.

Thick-walled (min. 3.8") polyethylene is only recommended material for waste holding. Tek-Tanks http://www.tek-tanks.com/Pages/frameset.htm is the best source in the UK. And the best place for it on your boat (head forward) is under the v-berth. Tek-Tanks will be able to build you one to fit the space.

I suggest that before you start this project, you read the article on holding tank installation and maintenance on the Tek-Tanks site: http://www.tek-tanks.com/sanitation/sanitation_index.html And I'm always glad to answer questions about specific issues.
