HMS Ganges - Whats Happening?

I keep seeing signs with 'Say no to Ganges' or some such on the way down to the marina, tried to read the small print whilst swerving all over the road, got out and looked -no info - what is/is not about to happen?

I beleive there is some planning permission in the pipeline to build loads of houses on the Ganges site - I can't understand why - its 1/2 an hour from anywhere down a dead end road - so hardly prime commuter real estate.

I suspected as much, that road is going to be busy! nice view of Felixstow docks though

Big development...

Big development planned for Ganges site. Around 300+ houses (in addition to the 150 houses supposedly being built at Shotley Marina). Original proposal is here, and the latest revised proposal is here.

Might keep that little ferry viable. Harwich Town will be the closest station by miles!
