Forget WMD and Alistair Campbell soups, the issue of the day is who is stealing our weather forecasts!

Out on Saturday near Beer around 8am Portland CG announce forecast on Channel 86. Wait with bated breath, they start by saying no gale or strong wind warnings then nothing, not even a crackle.

We wait and listen for a good 5+ minutes, and then decide to call them up as advised by poster HMCG. Called on 16 and was told to go to working channel and await end of weather forecast!!! Wot forecast, nothing being transmitted, all the while still listening on channel 86.

Eventually speak to them and tell em no forecast heard only the pre-amble. No explanation, but they did give me a personal reading of what was missing.

Did someone just forget to press a button, can't think of any other reason for no forecast. And this isn't the first time this has happened, WX on channel X, go to channel X and nothing.

All very odd, is someone nicking the forecast? What are they worth?? Or are they just being rationed?
