Is there any firm or individual in the Thames area who can hinge an arch with detachable hydraulic struts ?
Has any reader had this done, and what would be a 'ballpark' Cost?

Cannot suggest a specific outfit to do this but a friend had this done on a Fairline Brava with a classic fibreglass arch some while ago , cost him around £2K.
From memory ,his marina (Bray) suggested a couple of outfits who were capable of doing the job properly.
Some thought needs to be given as to where the arch resides when lowered.
One not so clever job resulted in the crew needing to be limbo dancers in order to get into the cabin of a Turbo 36.
It totally blocked access to main cabin when arch was down, it did pose a weeny problem on the Thames.
One skipper with a Princess 330 simply unbolted the arch when visiting the Thames and refitted on departure.
One ex Thames boat a P388, ended up down here on the Mudway sans arch.
Boat came up for sale, forum enquiries about the missing arch ,suggested the arch was seen lying round in a Thames marina.
It did finally disappear, rumours it had been "liberated" and grafted on to something totally unsuitable.
