Simply - any info? Bought Spray this year but history is thin. Originally twin petrol, now [when?] single diesel. Requisitioned as 'Neophyte' during WWII [Falmouth?] Some time in Fowey? That's about it!. Any further bits of jigsaw welcome. Now at Saltash.

The 1970 LOR lists 4 "Sprays"
28' AuxGaff Cut 1910, 32' AuxGtr Kch no date, 34' AuxGaff Ywl 1910 and a 40' AuxKch 1910.
No mention of Hillyard though.
It may help if you can give a few more details of the dimensions. I will fill in the other details.
One conclusion is she may have become unregistered by 1970 Hope this helps.

It's in the list provided in the book, The David Hillyard Story. as a 7 ton twin-screw motor yacht. You don't mention dimensions, but the book states that Hillyard built a limited number of motorboats before the war. He advertised a 45-footer in the late 20s and early 30s, and built several large twin screw motor yachts around that time. 12, 14, 20, and 22-tonners, and a few smaller ones. All in all, output was not prolific. A seven-tonner is probably quite rare... perhaps unique?

The Hillyard list has two "Spray" listings. Spray 1 is a 1925 twin screw motor yacht of 17 tons Thames Measurement.
The second is a 1948 2-and-a-half ton Sloop.
Have you tried the yard?
