Hillyard Boatyard is still in existence, so it may be worth contacting them to see if you have any information on your boat.

David Hillyard Limited, Rope Walk, Littlehampton, West Sussex, BN17 5DG
Tel 01903 713327
E-mail Hillyard@btclick.com

There's a Hillyard Owners Association, but I think that is for yachts rather than motorboats

When you do a post or a reply to a post, don't click the little box at the bottom which says "Add a poll to this post" - if you click it, then you will get a vote thingy added

If you weren't so far from Littlehampton you wouldn't be surprised that Hillyards don't have their own web site.

The yard probably looks just the same, or rather even more dilapidated, than it did when your boat was built! I don't even know if they would have electricity yet, probably gas or oil lamps.

But they still do very high quality work!

Hillyard had an open day at the yard recently that was covered by one of the rags, ST, PBO or YM can't remember which. But some nice photographs of the yard.

Might, in fact, definitely, worth asking your questions in Classic Boat Owner forum, the one below Motor Boats on the main page where you entered this forum.

Some excellent knowledge to be found in there.
