Perhaps there is going to be a corresponding really low tide. That would create some interesting pictures.

Parkstone Bay Marina

250 dry berths became wet moorings for an hour at around 11.00

New arrivals on brokerage could have just about been delivered direct to the marina office by water.

Not sure if the Merc in the foreground should be paying harbour dues now?

Just seen PBM marina pictures on their facebook page. Mine is on dry berth nearest the launch pontoon on D1 so no hope of getting near that without wellies.

Still, at least there should be plenty of water underneath you when you go down their channel that leads to the swinging moorings and Yacht Club!

Primier send a sms saying 1100 flood alert move cars from waters edge.

From others I hear you need to up by the gate ,near the road, to be safe!

Spoke to VTS on 12 just before first HW to ask tide height, reply, 5.31 at dock head today, staying on boat tonight, as I'm moored on a quay wall, the water was over the wall today by about 6 inches, yes I know, should've taken pictures, but you tend not to bother with cameras when your fenders are hanging in fresh air and not protecting the boat!

Haha you should have been here Richard.
The yard guys were offering piggy backs through the water (top of wellie depth).
...only to the ladies though!

I also discovered what can happen when you have equinoxial tides combined with a strong SW gale - this was many moons ago, at the car park on the western side of the entrance to Langstone Harbour. Had left my car there to do my night shift on a tug working with a dredger just offshore - came ashore the next morning and found salt water in the car...... (and despite lots of fresh water wash down when I got home, the rust did seem to spread faster afterwards).
