The episode of 'The Last Explorers' about Antarctic explorer William Spiers Bruce is repeated tonight at 18-00.(most regions). It featured a recreation of the voyage from the Falklands using Skip Novac's Pelagic. Some nice shots of sailing close to ice and interesting pictures from over 100 years ago etc.
Bruce was a Scottish scientist/explorer and his expedition was organised and financed from Scotland after he had been refused a place on an English expedition so the account which has a Scottish bias may not appeal to everyone on the forum, (certainly not most of the denizens of the Lounge), but the story is well told and the landscape is dramatic though you do have to put up with Neil Oliver.
