I'm tied up to our club's island harbour jetty, about 20 miles east of Helsinki. It's blowing a force 6 and pouring with rain; might have been smarter to stay home this weekend.

I am hiding in dock at y felinheli think we started the wine last night just got up with a little. Bit of a hangover rain will stop by 7 Barbie time?

Hi Dylan

We left Blyth Thursday morning and had a lively sail back down to the Tyne!

Not sure where you next port is maybe Amble? don't under estimate Coquet Isalnd, cutting round on the inside you sure got to get the tide right, I never do it not worth the risk as there is only a small channel so I sail right around from the east side, maybe at 15" draft you will get away with it, 'IF' you know the channel.

Get your camera ready for Puffins !!! (I passed two Dolphins on the way back!)

Weather Sunday looks ok and will get warmer during the week!

Take care

Mike

I'm lurking in Ardglass along with 3 other boats waiting for the weather. I went into Belfast today by bus and did the tourist thing - walked down the Falls Road, through the peace wall, and back along the Shankill Road. It's strange how the infamous reputation of West Belfast now seems to be its biggest tourist draw.

Conversely sitting pretty at anchor, strongish northerly winds predicted for Monday (not concerning just gusty), middle cabbage flys back Tuesday but would like to visit more bays along the coast.. Risk moving despite being nicely tucked in or indulge a whim?

Answered my own question, staying put.

On a bouy in stud land. Wind always sounds worse than it is. But glad im sheltered. Don't fancy going anywhere just yet

Been holed up at Carbost, Loch Harport in Skye for a couple of days. The bad weather has it's compensations though, good pub with good grub, and we sat in last night at a cracking sesh with local musicians including wizard fiddler Farquar MacDonald and Ali Pentland, formerly with the Peatbog Faeries, on guitar. Fabulous musicians.

We also had a good session last week in the Mishnish in Tobermory.

I was hiding at Kwackers yesterday;)

The weather was pretty nasty in the morning and on the way home late afternoon.

Good luck.

weather man wrong again....

I left Blyth this morning at 10.00 expecting average wind 11mp gusting up to 18

much more than that

hid in Newbiggin bay for an hour or two waiting for the predicted easing of the wind

never happened

so set off anyway

now in Amble on a pontoon

not used to any water coming over the bow and into the cockpit

outraged of Northumberland
