Would it be feasible to mount the transmitter (with solar charger ) at the top of the mast?

Apparently there are some very expensive yachts stolen every year.

Why do people feel they need a specialist tracker?

A discreetly hidden AIS transponder with an independant rechargeable power supply will do the job.

Does anyone have a hidden Satellite GPS anti-theft Tracker installed? We are looking to get one thus looking for recommendations. Have one of these on my expensive electric bike.
Put a 1p annual SIM in it.
Stash it somewhere, no cables, leads, lights
Turn up the report time and the battery lasts for ages.
Just have to charge it up from time to time Old style phone charger does the job.
