Harwich have just issued a NtM saying that between 1530 and 1630 on Sunday 28th July a Navigational Exclusion Zone will be established in the vicinity of Harwich Halfpenny Pier. This exclusion zone is being established to ensure the safety of a helicopter Search and Rescue demonstration during the Harwich Sea Festival 2013.
Exclusion Zone
The exclusion zone covers the area west of a line drawn between Shotley point and the eastern end of Navyard Dock, terminating in a line drawn between the radar tower on Ganges Pier and the eastern end of Harwich International Port.
Exclusion
During the period of exclusion no vessel shall enter or pass through this area without the express permission of the Harbour Master.
Harwich VTS will broadcast prior to, as well as at the commencement and cessation of the exclusion zone on VHF Channel 71.
It appears to stop entry or exit to Shotley as well as Halfpenny Pier.
