am planning a visit to Henly on the 4th, can anyone advise as to where is best to moor for the night and if its difficult to get space around the area?

For casual mooring theres only the Park, £50 odd a night though if you can find a space. Best plan is to go through marsh lock and use the free moorings at Shiplake.

Finding somewhere to moor is half the fun!! But £40 per NIGHT is less so..:( If you can afford to, cruise up and down enjoying the sights and atmosphere, and be ready to dive into an empty spot when someone moves off for a cruise.. never failed to find one, but it is certainly entertaining..

We visit the regatta every year and moor at the same place free of charge overnight. After the racing has finished and things put away, (about 19.00hrs) you are allowed to moor on the booms which are supported by the vertical piles. You will be moved on by about 08.00hrs the following morning. A great place to watch the fireworks.

sounds like good fun, must amit looking forward to the event and certain fun and games that must go on. Will be probably planning to go on the saturday and spend one day and night their.
