Regatta income falls

HENLEY Royal Regatta suffered a drop in income this year due to the disposal of some shares, it was announced at its annual meeting on Wednesday.

Income was down by six per cent to £2.4 million, while expenditure rose by 11 per cent to £2.2 million. However, the Regatta was still able to make provision for some large items of expenditure to maintain its facilities and infrastructure.
