Right then.... Up at Henley for the festival. Boat moored behind me has an HFL genset with jabsco water pump. The pump has started spraying a very pretty fountain of water from the shaft seal all over the generator.

No pump part number to be seen.

No transport as I'm on the boat (ok, maybe taxi but not too far due ££).

Is there anywhere close by that might stock jabsco shaft seals? MEC at Val Wyatt is probably a good guess, but is there anywhere in walking distance that may provide one? I will remove the pump and take it with me to ID the seal..

Thanks ! :)

Not that far from Espar - 01628 471368 - at Harleyford (by bus no 800 or 850 about 30 minutes + 15 minute walk from main road to marina) or DB Marine - 016285 26032 - at Cookham ?

Worth a call to Espar, might even have an engineer on the river at Henley this week?

Oh, and there's quite a useful guy called Ross based at Windsor ......... :D

He is very useful, but only if he can get the parts!!

One very soggy RIB ride to MEC and all sorted. Thanks for the other advice, unfortunately MEC was the only one who had stock. Time to roll my sleeves up and put it all back together now!
