Hi All
apologies for late reminder..... and the fact that I've also posted on YM Scuttlebut.

2moro..... Monday the 11 of Jan' we have a very special presentation by John Haines.

Cruising the East Coast and Image of Yachts on East Coast

John has sailed the Solent and north coast of France for about three decades, yet has returned to his roots with his yacht - The East Coast.

In 2014, John and his wife decided to satisfy a long standing desire to sample the shallow waters of the East Coast and its rivers.
Following a few weeks in Suffolk they made the decision to base their boat on the River Orwell from the 2015 season.

Many people have asked, “Why go to the East Coast, there’s nothing there?” John’s answer is "They cannot have been there or else they have only passed by at night."

John will describe his personal take on life amongst the sandbanks, wind farms and mud of the East Coast along with the challenges of actually getting there, pilotage, navigation as well as the sights once actually there.

Yes, The Solent is different from the South Coast!
