From the Henley Standard re profiteering:
A number of readers picked up on the comments by the mayor, Cllr. Terry Buckett, who said it didn’t paint a good picture of the town. They rounded on the town council and accused it of behaving like others who raised their prices, pointing out that the river mooring charges rose from £50 a week to £250 during the Regatta.

Possibly, Sky News were around this morning. I'm at home at the moment the hotel were threatening to evacuate us so we decided to get a lift home. we'll be back tonight and see you then - we're picking you up now.

Maybe they would have evacuated you to the Hilton owned place at Sandford or the Randolph /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif although more likely the local YHA /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
