I have a Henderson through deck bige pump fitted to my Westerly Konsort. The sort where you put a handle into the centre hole of a rubber diapragm, flush with the cockpit sides and about the same overall size of a Henderson Mk5 diaphram.
And there lies the problem, the centre hole that takes the handle has shattered. I need to replace this... thing.
Does anyone know what this rubbery thing with a strengthened hole in it is called?
And... Where can i get one from?
it seems a shame to have to replace the whole assembly

please help

Yours in desperation

I'm pretty sure these are now made by Whale Pumps:

Worth an email or phone call. I've found them very helpful and you actually get to talk to a person who knows what they are talking about!

Hope you sort out the problem.

Yes they are and all the spare parts are available (replaced the cover and housing of a Henderson last year)

Don't know what it is called but I replaced the same bit on my pump last year. Took the broken bit off to Fox's marina, they had a spare in their swindlery.
I then decided to buy a valve replacement kit for the same pump.
In the end I should have bought a new pump it would have been no more expensive and a lot easier.

That's a good point - the replacement cockpit floor cover was £15 and a whole new pump was £40. I know I 'saved' £25 but i've still got a 15 year old pump instead of a brand new one.
