help with sunpad on a baja ?

My sunpad motor that runs the piston to lift the cover to my engine has gone bad and i can't get under the sunpad to change the motor to fix the problem. Is there anybody who knows how to get the sunpad to lift off or bypass the piston? So that i can replace the motor. All replies and ideas are greatly appreciated.

This is another world to me. I can only guess what a 'sunpad' might be. Presumably a second home in the Carribean. Or a baja. They used to be a dog like mammal. A mystery. All too much. Is all this a result of too much txtg?

How about asking Baja themselves? It's unlikely you're the first to have this problem, so there must be a solution.
