We installed ours a couple of years ago and it worked perfectly.

Today when running the unit it tripped out the circuit breakers twice.

The unit had been running for about 5 hours, and it is hot here. Also the locker could be better ventilated.

On feeling the motor unit, it was hot to be touch . Possibly about 40 degrees. Is this normal operating temperature?

Also we have a coup,e of small oil drips ( however I have been told this is nothing to worry about).

Any ideas about why the circuit breaker tripped? Overheated because of inadequate ventilation?

There is no water ingress or corrosion visible.

All help grateful,y received

We had the smaller unit that has the same pump. Mine used to run hot so we installed a computer fan to cool the space. if it is in a locker with no ventilation this could be your problem.

Cheers.

I talked to Jim at Mactra, who was helpful as always.
He says it may be an oil leak causing a short circuit somewhere. As this in bleedin' serious, he is arranging to get another motor shipped to us :) that is good customer service .
