Hi
Can any one help identify the make of Genoa Track and Car in the photo below. It is on my Westerly Konsort and the knob has come off the locator pin which means that it is now very difficult to move. Can I get spares or will I have to buy a replacement unit. The track is 32mm and the car length is about 100mm.
Many thanks for any help
Nick

Yes, looks like Barton but maybe an older version as the cheeks of the blocks don't look quite right. I have a Goiot track (25 mm) but the Barton cars fit it just fine. You can find the measurements/drawings for Barton tracks on the WWW at http://www.bartonmarine.com/products-genoa-cars-and-sliders-for-32mm-track.asp check measurements against existing and you'll know if your track will take Barton cars.

They work quite well.

Beware that some older 32mm T-tracks are thicker than the Barton version, which is 5mm (the J height in the Barton drawing).
Mine are 6mm and I have found that cars from Rutgerson and Pfeiffer fit, while Bartons does not.

Is it possible to repair it by drilling a cross hole & fitting a small shackle with a lanyard attached? Not sure of the diameter of the vertical pin but you may be able to drill a 3 Dia. hole and fit a small stainless shackle + lanyard. Alternatively can the 'pin' be screwed and a new knob screwed on with locktite to fix it?

Thank you for all your help and suggestions
I think I will take the broken one off and see if
1 I can convert it into a towable system
2 If not try and thread a new knob on the top
3 if all else fails buy a new Barton
many thanks
