I have a a pair of Volvo Penta MD32's that run on shafts on my 1969 Storebro 34.

Problem.

They are now currently completely re-furbished - but in bits. The restorers have done a wonderful job with all parts refurbished, replaced or rebuilt. However time is running out. We have overstayed our welcome at a mid-Thames mooring were the general boatbuilding work has been going on. The restorers have a prior major commitment they must fulfill - and can't start rebuilding for a month.

They are quite happy for the parts to be collected and rebuilt by another party.

Question.

Does anybody know of a diesel engine mechanic/service who can take on the assembly, then deliver the engines to the mid-Thames boat builder?

Please call me direct on my mobile 07767 235 601

Thanks

Fine be like that. You won't get a better more thorough engine spanner man this side of reading.

Oh I note someone else has recommended him!

I think it had something to do with the "basket case" comment. I haven't got skin I've got blubber so I'm not really that bothered.
What does make me wonder tho is the original company who have stopped work/downed tools to do another job which they obviously deem more important, read there more profit.
I would have offered my services but hey I've more important things to do.

To be honest AlDundde doesn't know me from Adam. He doesn't know my style of posting so I don't really blame him for taking a bit of offence.

Basket case obviously in regard to engines, not user. So a bit precious if you ask me. Just watch the 'here come the old guard' 'flaming newbies' comments start flying now.

Yeah but, PHWOAR!! you should heave seen the Doc that stitched me up. If there was ever a woman that I'd want to be stitched up by that would be the one.....talk about anatomy! Who needs biology classes! Was worth it just to have her lean over me. I'm not saying she was a bit top heavy but......

It may be an idea to try the PBO forum and not taking things so seriously, there are a lot of great people in here who are full of invaluable experience and information but they all come in for a bit of fun.

Many poeple have taken the p**s out of some of the stuff I have said/asked but it is all in the best possible taste and you also generaly get the help you asked for too.

Try not being sarcastic to the first person who tries to help you. That would help. You're still at it by the way.

Col is a member of these forums, and a very good mechanic. You can send a private message to him, or I can send a pm to him and ask him to look at this thread if you don't know how to do PM's yet
