Hi all ive got what i believe is 1979 yamaha 40 hp 2 stroke outboard i had to strip it down and replace the steering handle all good now and it runs had it running today
the problem i have is i cant turn it it off unless i disconect the fuel line and wait for the float chamber to empty ive got a new kill switch i purchased but i dont know where it fits can someone tell me how to turn the engine off properly without having to disconnect the fuel line
and where to connect the kill switch
there is no tiller arm on it either and dont want one as it connects to the steering on my boat this is a pic of my outboard before restoration cheers steve .
