Hi all I'm a long time lurker and first time poster. I've learnt a hell of alot about boating and boats from the advice given by the forum members here to other forum members for which I am grateful. I am new to boating and have a 1992 Sealine 350 Statesman. I am hoping someone can help identify these connections. I've uploaded a photo of each connector. One is pretty corroded. They are both on the flybridge helm under the dash. The boat is fitted with a Standard Horizon VHF and a Raymaine RL70RC in the lower helm.

Thanks in advance
Brian

Thanks superheat6k. Would you know for what and how these would be used? Are they for second vhf and raymarine units on the flybridge?

Thanks Rob and l'escargot. The 2 pin Dri-plug looks like the corroded connector. I will check it for power and replace. The other appears to be a 10 pin connector. Any idea what it would be used for?

Left hand image looks like the connector for a remote handset for the VHF... I have a standard horizon one like that. ( http://www.standardhorizon.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=178_173&products_id=100021 )

Can't help on the second image i'm afraid.

Thanks very much trying. I was thinking it might be for a remote handset. Now I just need to see it will work.

Depending where you are, could you borrow a remote handset to try? What make is your VHF? Is there an name/brand marked on the outlet?... Just a thought

Edit: having looked at the pic again, it is a standard horizon outlet, (thats the standard horizon logo on it to the right of the connector in the image)...

That diamond-shaped pattern of pins in the first plug is absolutely right for a Standard Horizon RAM3 remote station.

Thanks very much trying and prv. I'll look into trying to borrow a standard horizon handset. I was looking into buying a hand held vhf for the flybridge but maybe now I just need a remote handset.
Thanks again everyone for your help.

We have a similar vintage sealine 365 and it has several driplugs scattered about. They look a lot like your photos

They are a 12 volt power distribution points. We have pulled two out and replaced them with water resistant USB outlets (inside)

Yes the ten pin job looks the same as my Standard Horizon remote, if you are anywhere near Hamble you are welcome to borrow it to try.

Really appreciate the offer Scarron thanks anyway but I am based in Ireland.

Thanks Nick I'll check it for power. Probably just needs a new fitting.
