David,

I have a Slingbox connected at home and watch either its' built in Freeview stuff, or Sky if janet will let me, or if she's not in, (or if she's here) - I can even record using Sky+.

You need to make sure that your home provider has no upload limits - we use Zen with a 2Mb download limit, (increasable for not much money per Gb), but no upload limit.

I've tried the conmen... you can get what they offer for free, and it's usually crap caus so many people are sharing the bandwidth.

Re: Help Please - Internet TV on a Laptop

That's what I use ... laptop with datacard, (takes a SIM), as well as a 9Dbi Wifi aerial connected via an adapter to a USB port

although I've just seen this:

or this, (same thing):

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V...A:IT&ih=001

which has a detachable aerial, thus allowing me to connect my existing aerial on its' cable up at the spreaders.

As a matter of interest, I've just downloaded Slingplayer Mobile to my HTC Tytn, (T-Mobile Vario II), and can now watch home TV whilst on the move - amazing!

Waiting for match of The Day as we speak.

I've watched Sky on my notebook using our home Slingbox on trips in many countries. Its an excellent piece of kit.
