I posted this is PBO but no results and thought perhaps the gentlemen of my local river might have some input.

Can anyone help me please? I'm refurbishing an ancient grp cruiser and have removed the leaking windows where the rubber "H" section had perished and was leaking. I've got new rubber from Seals Direct, and where the front windows are slightly curved plastic I've cut new ones. The sides are aluminium framed that fit into the same sort of rubber section, which is then fixed by fitting a filler piece.

I'm too old, have a bad back, and only two arms, these windows are defeating me and "doing my head in" as the kids say. I'm getting most depressed and very bad-tempered and that's not good for my family around me.

Does anyone know of a moonlighting window fitter in the Sandhurst area who could fit these for me. Even with my neighbour and myself our efforts only succeeded in cracking one of the new windows. I have the rubber, the filler strip, and the tools, I just don't have the expertise, or I'm afraid, the patience!

Job Done!

And all thanks to Ian, 1A1A3259, who spent 3 hours with me and stuck in the two offending front windows. It was a bit of a chore but many grateful thanks Ian, you've made my day!

no not carli it was pauls previous boat to her, I towed him in from the weir upstream of penton hook lock all the way back to old windsor on a rising flood, by the time we made staines it was pitch black made the rest of the way "interesting"

OK, I understand. So now we are looking for anyone who has towed his current boat then!

He's never bought me a beer (yet) but diesel's another matter altogether. Such a shrinking violet.

The towing episode with Huntress II (outboard failure) was what made me say you know lots about boat glazing.... She was of course a 2 stroke driven craft. Boatone has towed "Silver Dragon" but not due to mechanical failure or lack of diesel....
