My situation at the moment is that me and her indoors were all set to buy last year. We went to view numerous boats around the UK and Spain and was just about to get one surveyed after haggling the price down only for the missus to do a 180, It's a lot of money, I don't think we will get the use out of it, I will miss the UK, We should wait for another year or two!!! and so on. I can understand to a certain extent as its a big step but I thought we had discussed all avenues prior to viewing boats.
So here I am another year on and still boatless.
My plea for help is a simple one really and that is to ask if anyone who is either a liveaboard or has extended breaks on their boat in the Med would like to join us for a beer and a chat to discuss some of the aspects of boat ownership in the Med to try and put her mind at rest. I am not talking about anyone trying to steam roller her into a decision but to give her an honest idea of what its really like, Worts and all. We will be visiting my parents in the Denia area in late September any one around at this time that fancies a beer and a chat would be greatly appreciated. I will even buy the beer?
Many thanks
Adaero

Re: Hm

Oh, just buy the boat anyway. She'll almost certainly love it, and if you buy an okay one it's not a load of money - it's just the depreciation if you find you want to sell. Don't wait two years - you might be dead! There again, so might she...
