help needed re surveyors in scotland

Help urgently needed, I purchased a boat 4 years ago and I am in 3 weeks going to court re the survey, has anyone had a bad survey in Scotland, or been told by a Marina/brokerage to use a specific surveyor as oppossed to their own choice?

You may be better off here if you request that people respond to you privately or via e-mail, or I can see this thread being heavily edited by Mr Hollamby.

Or, in other words, it sounds you need to gather fairly specific information which the site staff might feel would fall foul of the lawyers.

Also, people may be more willing to tell you their experiences on those terms.
