Help please - Jeanneau Prestige 34 2007 Volvo Penta D4s 260hp. Suddenly noticed one evening recently that on the dashboard lights, all of the Volvo Penta related instruments were no longer backlit. The non VP dials were as they always had been, but the backlights had gone from all the VP dials.

Not terribly technical myself, but assumed a fuse had gone somewhere. Searched and consulted the manuals and have been unable to find any such fuse. A couple of more technical contacts have also had a look and likewise been unable to find any reference to a fuse in the wiring diagrams or find a fuse either behind the dash or on the main wiring board which is behind a Panel at the foot end of the second cabin.

A local Marine Engineer had a brief look and wondered if I had inadvertently turned the backlights off via a setting in the LCD dials, but couldn't find a setting where this could have occurred. Not the biggest problem in the world, but a bit annoying nonetheless.

Anybody got any suggestions for me or any previous experience of the same?

Thanks,

Andrew

Hopefully I have managed to get it all in this page grab.

Go into setting menu. Scroll through there is a page on backlighting. It will allow you to turn on the backlighting.

Thanks gents, sounds to me like you are probably right and I may have inadvertently turned them off. Will look next time I'm down. I'll only report back if this isn't the answer, if you're right I'll keep quiet and hope no one remembers I did this myself! :p
Thank you both again,
Andrew
