I bought a boat last year with a Waeco CR50 fridge fitted. The fridge door would not close properly, it seemed to be open about half a cm all the time. I tried fiddling with the knob at the top of the door but had no success. I eventually found a user manual on the internet which explained that the knob I had been fiddling with has 2 settings - one for when the fridge is left empty and turned off which is supposed to leave the door open a crack to keep it aired, the other setting for when the fridge is in use and the door is kept tight shut. The manual also added, in big bold type, that the knob should only be adjusted with the door open or else it will be damaged.
I fear I (and possibly the previous owner) have caused the damage and now the door won't close properly. I have obtained a parts manual but it is not at all clear, either from the manual or from looking at the fridge, where the damage is and which part I need to replace. Can anybody help.
