Can anyone suggest a Solent area engineer to repair/replace the electric pump on my B&G Network Pilot? The control head flashes up the error message "Rudder DRV" when engaging auto then reverts back to standby. This is the same message that flashes up if the autopilot is not switched on as well as the instruments on the main switch panel.

I have tried B&G but alas, they were of very little help and could only suggest a firm in Port Hamble, who entirely lost interst in the job as soon as they learned it was a hydraulic sytem. Any help, suggestions would be greatfully appreciated.

don't assume it's the pump at fault - the message would still be valid for a problem with wiring from the pilot to the pump or a fuse /relay faulty inside or outside the pilot main box.

Any 1/2 way decent electrician should be able to test the pump for you in situ & likely identify any other fault if the pump's fine.

Try Seacraft Marine (Poole, but I,m sure they would travel.) they have just fitted a raymarine autopilot to my Atlantic 38 inc electric pump to hydraulics, but I think they work on other makes too. Highly recomended. Ask for Mark on 07795 331754 or another Mark on 07795 331755
