Hello everybody,

I'm new to this forum and I've joined due to my small knowledge of motor boats.

Ok so here is the problem, my throttle box is getting old therefore I want to change it but the thing I want to know are these throttle controls universal for any boats?

I own a Fletcher.

Please can somebody help!

More important is your engine make and model. The controls are generally universal but you will need cable ends that match your engine. You should be able to use the ones on the old cables or they can be bought from the the outboard dealer.

what pcuk say's is about right ..but if you can afford it buy new!
other wise you may end up with another worn out unit..

As above. The important bits are the ends of the cables, and the wiring harness (otherwise you won't get the starter switch/choke/kills witch/SIN switch to work). The harness will be specific to your outboard, as will the control cables, though these will come in a smaller variety of fittings.
