I have just pulled this out of a friend farm as a spring project.

Any help indentifying the maker and model would be appreciated, it's around 21ft, 7ft beam, I guess late 80's with a 4.3lt V6 'OMC King Cobra' stern drive.

Anthony.

Check the transom for a HIN number. If US it's bound to be there.

OMC used to control a number of boat manufacturers, might be one of those

Chris-Craft
Grumman powerboats
Four Winns
Seaswirl
Trade Winds
Sunbird
Stratos
Hydra-Sports

If you look closely there are some subtle differences. I think the OPs pictures are maybe an earlier version of the one I linked to.

I just had a quick look at the Fletcher 210 and there are a few differences. Especially around the transom.

Would Fletcher have fitted OMC, Maybe I'm wrong but I would've thought MerCruiser would've been standard fit on a British boat?

Good spot by Designo. Nice project ARE and a nice quality boat to work on. Good luck with the OMC outdrive - there will be USA forums to help with that

There's a Four Winns owners forum; "wwwifourwinns.com". A lot of experienced Four Winns owners on it One poster in particular, LouC has a lot of experience with the OMC drives and 1980s Four Winns boats.

Nice :)

Before heading out into the project do a little homework on a plan & budget. Several before you have been surprised about the cost of things boaty...

Hi Anthony,

Nice project and looks in pretty good nick! What's the power output on the V6 - presumably around 190hp? At least it's been dry too so shouldn't be too many hidden nasties - although you're lucky the mice haven't set up home... Enjoy! :encouragement:

Best regards,

Robin

It's fitted with a OMC King Cobra 262 V6, from what I know around the 200hp mark. It needs a replacement carb and a good service, I will see where we go from there!
