might help if you also took a picture of the entire boat, but I think Whitelighter could well be correct....

cant find any early pics of a chaparral early bagde.

I cant find any hull numbers, i have looked in all the usual places, but none are there, the boat seems to have been resprayed at some time in the past ,so they could have been covered up then? or it is to old for hull identity numbers?

Adam,
Unusual not to have some form of Identification so maybe a boat built form an "acquired mould set" or indeed be quite an old craft. No ideas other than those already put forward by others here. Looks like quite an old design of hull to me and very possibly American or Italian in origin.
Sorry i cannot help you any further exept perhaps to suggest that you try sending in a picture to MBY or MBM and asking them.
They often print pics and there is always someone out there who knows something.
