Help ID a bolt size...

As part of yet another ongoing project, I want to fit a longer bolt to a Mikalor clamp.
The existing bolt seems to be 1/4" outside diameter, and about 6mm inside the threads, with a pitch of 1mm.

Sorry for the mixed units but that's just what it seems to be. I suppose the outside diameter could be a fraction shy of 7mm but 1/4" is what it actually measures.

Any idea what size this bolt actually is?

Mikalor hose clamps have metric screws .

M6 x 1.0 at a guess.

Go to somewhere that sells metric bolts and see if the threads match. The "teeth", threads should interlock perfectly if it is metric. These days it would be very unlikely to be AF unless it is old and American.

How are you measuring it? I'm afraid the measurements you've given are a bit too vague, ie 1/4" outside and 6mm inside will give a thread depth only about .15mm . If its bigger than 6mm and is metric as Vics says, I'd look at m7,. On that size bolt/screw expect it to be about .05 down on nominal size.
