Can some one with politictictentions decifer this sign for me. Seen up the river tamar. Now can I use it or not, I am a member of the public I think. Anyway the pontoon has no cleats on it that I can see and it was outside the pub with tables set out on it, in fact you had to go into the pub to get to it!! I'm obviously rubbish with Engish, maybe some of you lot can make sence of it.../forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Well it says "Patrons Only" so I guess so if you go to the pub - I suppose it BYOC though (Bring Your Own Cleat) /forums/images/icons/smile.gif Goodness knows what all the other twaddle means, just that it is private and you use at your own risk I suppose....

What is your question????? you can use it if your on your boat and using the pub. all of the above at your own risk!!

I reckon it's legally unenforceable anyway: it's not legally possible to exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

It's one of the reasons why you should have insurance cover on your boat - you cannot say to your guests/crew that they come on board at their own risk.
