HELP! GAS VENTILATION for snapdragon 27

Hi,

Just bought a Snapdragon 27 and the gas system has to be changed for insurance. The ventilation under the gas bottle in the lazarette is t'd into the cockpit drains...but as they drain under the water line this is no help...the leaked gas would not drain away until heeled over.

The lazarette's lowest point is under the water line so I guess I can't ventilate the locker.

Any snapdragon owners have a solution? The portside locker?

The gas bottle on our SD27 is located in the port side cockpit locker. When we bought her four year ago, there was no ventilation, but making a small hole in the side of the hull at the base of the locker does the trick.

Or you could change over to a spirit stove like I have. Solves all the ventilation problems, and no expensive gas alarm to buy, or go wrong, and no more worries about gas in the bilge.
