Hi - for some reason or other I can't raise the drive leg - I have tried swapping over the relays which are both good and the pump will only go down - is there a quick way to just get the leg raised?
Many thanks for any help
Jon

Does the relay ( which ever is used ) click ?
Does the pump motor run ?

When you command up ?
If not it’s the dash switch = clean contacts and at the pump unit may as well .
If that doesn’t work there will be a way of jumping the motor .I know access is usually tricky due to its transom location so easier said than done .

you can 12v + /- to the pump plug. Couple of insulated spade connectors. One way round pump will run up….other way round it’ll run down.

is your trim gauges reading correctly? Held in the red button on the trim switches? Relay clicking?

Very sorry for the late Reply - yesterday time wasn't on my side but it came with a bonus - we had gone to the fuel pontoon on the marina to refuel (yes it got the heart racing) then returned to our berth to close the boat down ready to go home - This was when we found the leg wouldn't raise.
After posting on here I swapped the plugs over on the relays which still only went in the down position but verified that the relays was good (funnily enough I actually cleaned the connectors last Sunday)
I was tempted to swap the motor plug around to see if that would just get the leg up but I didn't want any expensive repairs coming my way on just guess work.
So I got the switch out and on odd times in the past the upward button sometimes didn't play ball.
Fortunately Volspec was 17 miles away and had a new switch in stock so after an hour or so I fitted the new switch and it worked like a charm with no hesitations.
The Bonus bit - we decided to stay another night as the sun decided to come out pizza and beers was the order of the night.

Many Thanks to @Portofino @Mr Googler and @PowerYachtBlog for your help - I will certainly come back to this thread if I encounter similar problems.

Jon
